Apple Actively Looking for More Talents, Especially the Ex-Google Maps Staff

The news is around that Apple is on a lookout for people who already have worked on Google Maps. Apple recruiters are aggressively looking for new talents to work on a new project.

Google Maps was a massive project and new talents were recruited on permanent & contractual basis to integrate Street View and newly licensed third party data for an improved European coverage. Many Google Maps employees left in search of better opportunities or when their contracts ended. Apple started pursuing the Google guys who were looking for GIS work.

Rumors are around that Apple is going to develop an in-house mapping platform, wherein, experience of ex-Google employees can turn out to be of great help. Moreover, Apple is said to be luring Google Maps resources by paying handsome amount.

Those who have or are working for Google Maps are bored of tedious updates they are making on a largely complete platform and Apple's offer to build new product is seen as a lucrative opportunity.

Apple's interest in ex-Google staff points out the possibility of Apple working on a platform that will be competing with the Google Maps. The iPhone maker will have to go out-of-the way to lure the former and current employees of Google & to get them develop a more superior and robust competitor of Google Maps.
